Since the fourth grade when Matt Sweeney would anxiously wait for the monthly edition of Homes and Land Magazine to hit the stands, it was apparent that his interests were different from those of his fellow classmates. While other students dreamed of becoming actors, singers, or star athletes, Matt (in all seriousness) knew from a very young age that he wanted to become a real estate agent. While some may have thought, “what an odd child” or “that’s an interesting aspiration for someone so young…don’t you want to become a doctor”, it only proved that real estate was in his blood.
Upon finishing Marymount College Palos Verdes, Matt soon realized his passion by assisting one of the top agents not only in Beverly Hills, but worldwide. From there, he was recruited by Hilton and Hyland to sell out the infamous Rob Clark, a 105 unit condominium development off of the famed, paparazzi infested Robertson Blvd cited as “The Real Life Melrose Place” by the LA Times. Having sold the final units in a youth oriented building, Matt realized that there was an abundance of young buyers and sellers who wanted more than what was being offered by stereotypical ‘old school’ real estate agents. With that in mind, he created Rich Kids Real Estate Group under Keller Williams Beverly Hills in 2008. By not only offering world class service, but also integrating cutting edge technology with traditional real estate practices, Rich Kids Real Estate Group began winning awards for most units sold in an office of over 180 agents.
Matt earned his CA State Broker’s License in spring 2011 and along with partner Victoria Wood, Rich Kids Real Estate: The Brokerage was launched in the heart of Beverly Hills’ Golden Triangle. Rich Kids Real Estate is the first independently owned brokerage specifically geared to the youth demographic in existence today.
